The nursery

Situated between the villages of Reeuwijk and Boskoop, a few short minutes from Gouda, Holland, you'll find Jesper Mathot Potcultures. Owner Jesper Mathot has previously been employed in a family owned business as a nurseryman, since the tender age of 14, starting with the cultivation of Buddleja's.

Due to strong demand and a related growth he decided in 2007, after seven years of employment, to start his own nursery business at different locations, until In 2008 he was offered the opportunity to lease a former nursery, the present location. This was a perfect proposal, as all facilities were readily available, without any further major investment, as an ultimate choice for the culture of several families of ornamental shrubbery.

Specialising in the cultivation of some ten kinds of ornamental shrubs, Jesper Mathot Potcultures has since its formation experienced a healthy growth, contributed especially to the six patented ornamentals for which the company holds a licence.

The present catalogue consists of Abelia, Diosma, Hydrangea, Sambucus, Physocarpus and Lavatera's in varying potsizes.

By a continuous process of investing in new production methods, JMP has built a strong reputation for the supply of products, which belong not only visually, but also qualitatively in the top range of what Dutch producers have to offer. Shape, colour and flowers, in optimal condition, for shipment to i.a. nursery gardens, DIY markets and gardening companies, whether or not through auction or wholesaler. In short: quality and care have continuous attention.

Jesper Mathot Potcultures is aiming for further levels of recognition in the market, by regularly expanding its catalogue with new patented species. Novel in this context is also the introduction of new (international) labelling, which has been presented at the Boskoop Plantarium Fair, end of August 2009.
